Do you know what Mental Health Is?
Do you think it is a disease of Mind?
People around the world take mental health issues in a way that it can cause something to them. They say anything to the person going through it without thinking how they might feel.
My dear friend’s people who suffer with mental issues are not mad. They are going through a tough phase in their life. They might be suffering from depression or anxiety; you don’t know how it feels. In the last few months we have seen people who ended their lives due to depression. Who did not want to suffer anymore with that feeling and some fought back to overcome that fear.
Depression and Anxiety are two different things but they go hand in hand. Feeling anxious now and then can lead you to the stage where you feel depressed all the time. It is advisable to consult a therapist at an earlier stage when you start feeling anxious. Because you need to control your thoughts before it becomes harmful to you, to your near ones or to anyone around you.
It is absolutely fine to come out to your family, friends and colleagues if you are feeling anxious about anything or you feel that you need help, talk to them, share your thoughts with them that will help you to feel better, to feel relaxed and to calm that anxious feeling. If you keep quiet and suffer alone then it can be harmful and can destroy your peace of mind. It is important to give some peace to your mind and body.
Life is full of happiness only when you decide to be happy and live every moment joyfully. Don’t be afraid of anything, if you think that what others might think of you when you are doing anything then that might make you feel a little anxious so stop thinking of others and live for yourself. This body, The Mind, That Heart is all yours not anyone else’s, so why give a shit about what others think.
There are some people who are able to come out of their mental space, but in some pathological cases, it would take a much longer time to manifest that in the brain. You could feel fine today but tomorrow morning something can happen that would trigger you and you feel sick mentally. When it happens to your mind, people do not show sympathy; they don’t want to be anywhere around you because it is very difficult for them to think about mental health issues as a serious issue or they think that you have gone mad.
It requires a lot of care, love, expertise and involvement to help the people who are suffering, to bring them out of that situation. They would need some time and their space in which you have to make them comfortable to feel good so that they do not suffer much. And this needs a lot of dedication and attention and empathy to help them out
Don’t ever make anyone or yourself feel less if you are going through depression or anxiety because you are not alone in this. We all are in this together.
So here I am sharing some ways to deal with anxiety and depression. This can help anyone.
- Deep Meditation: Start your day with deep meditation for at least 5 minutes. This will help you start your day in a relaxed way eliminating the negative thoughts.
- Walk for 30 minutes: Walk on the terrace or in a garden. Remember to walk in an open space where you can feel nature. A 30 minute walk with some light music or a podcast can help you stop the overthinking during the walk.
- Write Your Thoughts: Sit down with yourself for 15-20 mins and write down whatever that is going in your head. Write down the happy moments of the day that will make you feel less anxious. Also don’t forget to write down what is troubling you or what is making you anxious. Doing this can make it less daunting and will be out of your head.
- Eat Healthy: Eating healthy can be very helpful. Eating a diet high in vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole grains, and lean protein can be helpful. Try to eat something with protein several times a day, especially when you need to clear your mind and boost your energy.
I hope this helps you a little bit. And if you are up for a discussion comment below. We all are in this together. Let’s make it normal and work on our mental health.
